Tuesdays-(or Wednesdays)

Ten Pet Peeves....

1. Constant social media updates--snapchat, facebook, instagram... you name it. Not everything needs to be public knowledge. Most people don't care about the things you post and hide you anyway.

2.Making assumptions and assertions about my life without actually asking me.

3. Loud eating.

4. Slow customer service.

5. Not taking responsibility for something you did/said.

6. When someone has an 'entitlement' problem.

7. Constant fitness posts and comments--You work out. Good for you. I don't. Shut up.

8. Being super neat and tidy. Messes happen.

9. Slllloowww walking people in a crowd.

10. Grammar errors. Your and you're... There, their, and they're. Then and than. This stuff isn't hard, people. You look like an idiot when you mess it up.

Tuesday Series-posted on a Sunday: Twenty Random Facts

So here is twenty random facts about myself and my life:

1. I am currently obsessed with Game of Thrones--I know. Bandwagon. But I thought it was really weird five years ago and didn't even give it a chance at that point.
2. I really do enjoy the feeling after a solid workout-but working out is boring for me. Throughout high school, workouts always came with a purpose-swim team, cheer, track. Now, it's a boring, monotonous, dull process. I would love to find a solution for this.
3. I get frustrated very easily when I feel like people aren't listening to what I have to say.
4. One of the hardest things for me is talking about myself.
5. I hate predictable movies and books. If you don't have to think about the book or it doesn't leave you thinking, I don't want to read it.
6.  I really want to get tattoo(s) but committing to permanent ink is pretty terrifying to me and I do not want visible tattoos in my wedding.
7. One of my main life goals is to see the world from every form of travel available.
8. I do enjoy watching TV that makes me feel better about myself.
9. I love hunting and camo but people running around all the time in camo-or girls in pink camo-drives me nuts.
10. I am not a neat, organized person by any standards.
11. I don't mind living in town, but I really would rather live on the farm with things always going on.
12. I have a soft spot for puppies; I want to rescue every puppy. I can't stand it when people get dogs they can't take care of/just get rid of a dog because of petty, irresponsible reasons.
13. I absolutely hate smoking.
14. My biggest pet peeve is people putting words in my mouth and then throwing it back at me.
15. Most of the things I have decided I would like to do in my life will not pay many bills and I like to have nice, new things.
16. I love dinosaurs and dinosaur things.
17. Teaching swimming lessons was by far my favorite job in my life so far.
18. I really like wine. I think a running a winery would be fun; however, I don't know the first thing about grapes. or making wine. or running a winery.
19. Breakfast is an absolute must for me. "Hangry" is definitely a thing. Ask Jared.
20. My favorite food is still, and probably always will be, mac and cheese.

Wedding fun

Best friend from high school/neighbor got married this weekend.
She looked beautiful, no major disasters, boyfriend was able to come.
Failed to get a picture with boyfriend...
No surprise there. We really fail at that.
Met new people.
Puppy was excited to see me when I got back.
I wish I lived closer so I could see her more often!
What a happy weekend!

Marketing Gimmicks...

Every company has them. Everybody. I sell seed. We have gimmicks too. I should know better... but here I sit. Now owning a $26 bottle of 'tan extender'. Okay... my fault. I didn't even look to see what it was. The lady told me she only sold the stuff after she used it and decided it worked. I get home... read the label.... lotion. I bought lotion. Nothing special. Aloe. Shea butter, the like. The same stuff in every other, significantly cheaper, bottle of lotion. I got played by my own game.

????

Sometimes I wonder what the heck I am doing.

I don't particularly want to be in western minnesota. Pretty desolate out here. I know a few people. but not enough to really be comfortable. The thing is, I have never had trouble making friends. I just don't really want to. I don't really want to be here.  The daily mantra is how can I get out of here without sacrificing my career.  But I don't even know what I want that to turn into. I am supposed to make a lot of life choices here. Job, school, love, life. And I don't know what I even want. I am lost.

Pity party over.

All of a sudden...

Today I had the itch to write. I didn't know what about; or, why I thought of it today. But here I am.

The sun shined a little today despite the coming week of rain. I watched Harry Potter. Those two things probably just put me in a pretty darn good mood. I have been reading a little more lately. Kind of fell of the  bandwagon on books there for a while. I didn't want to read something I already owned, but I couldn't find anything I wanted to read. Finally settled on The Maze Runner series. I have one more to read. Technically, I think it's the prequel to the trilogy, but it came out after? So I am reading it last. I am also looking into starting the Song of Fire and Ice series... more commonly known as The Game of Thrones. I have only watched a select few episodes of the show and it was pretty bizarre.... but hey, still probably not the weirdest thing I have ever read.

I also am preparing myself to go back to school. I have my program picked out I think. K State. Masters of Agribusiness. I certainly don't want to stray to far from the Agronomy industry, but I still really don't know what I want to do. My boss would kind of like to know that information. But man, I am clueless. I love plants, but I hate dealing with all the (greedy) people in the current role. Why do I have to grow up so fast?

I am watching one of the saddest parts of Harry Potter right now. Harry is struggling to put everything together at the final battle of Hogwarts... Fred dies.. Lupin and Tonks die.... You find out all along Snape loved Lily. and then he dies.... Harry walks to his own death. and then, after all that, it turns out okay. One of my favorite parts of the series.

I'll try to be back sooner next time...

Here is my list of things to do before I get engaged....

The last post was about a blog I read about 23 things to do instead of getting engaged before you are 23.

While I know there is someone who is probably ready for the next step, I still have a lot of growing up to do.

A few things I want/need to do instead of getting engaged before I am 23:

.
.
.
.

So I have been sitting here for a while... can't really come up with the inspiring list without copying someone else's list. I'll work on it. I  know there are things I want to do... A few starting ideas:

Find an actual hobby.

I want to travel somewhere new. Stateside, abroad, surprise me.

Go 'off-grid' for a weekend. or a week. or two.

Get a tattoo that means something to me.

Pretend I am someone famous somewhere fancy.
.
.
.
.
hmm.. Still needs work.
